Showtime series about 1970s stand-up scene

The first trailer has been released for I'm Dying Up Here, a new series set in the Los Angeles comedy scene of the 1970s.

With Jim Carrey as an executive producer, it is set around the fictional Goldie’s comedy club – loosely based on Mitzi Shore’s Comedy Store.

The series, based on William Knoedelseder's book of the same name and starring Melissa Leo as the club matriarch, launches on America’s Showtime network on June 4:
