Jimmy Carr: Joke Technician

+
Description

Jimmy Carr is not just a TV star. He's won awards, released chart-topping DVDs (there's a new one out this November), written a best-selling book and broken box office records by performing to over 500,000 people in the last three years.
He may be the hardest working man in comedy.

But perhaps he wouldn't have to be if he had a little bit more talent.

This show is exactly the same as last year's except every single word. It's rude, crude and offensive but those aren't the only reasons you'll enjoy it.

Not to be missed, unless it's not your kind of thing.

I saw this show in June 2009 in Buxton, and I thought Jimmy Carr was hilarious, shocking and rude. Exactly what i was expecting of him but better. He is how he is on the TV, he even interacted with the audience well. This was the first comedian i have seen live, but still Jimmy was fantastic, he even answered my question and embarrassed my friends. If you like him on the TV then you must see him live.

The best comic in the world to me

Saw the show at Oxford on Friday, totally appalling use of foul offensive material, not at all funny. Would have left during the interval had I not have been part of a group, the rest of the group subsequently agree. A modern version of a Bernard Manning performance, will not waste my time and money in future!

Jimmy was by far the best British comic i have seen this year; Russell Howard a close second. Really enjoyed the show audience participation skills are second to none

Fuzzyurgle and Sarah, I don't know what you were watching but at Sunderland empire I had a fantastic night out. Jimmy came on and he looked and sounded the part almost instantly with his style of quickfire no-holds-barred humor. Nothing was off limits for him, not even the Danish cartoon fiasco. There were a few sex jokes in the routine but they did not completely take over a just about flawless act. My final point, £20 for 2 and a quarter hours of non-stop comedy gold and the chance to talk and get your ticket or poster signed by him proves why the masses part with their money too see him live. Do not miss. 10/10

I've seen Jimmy Carr live numerous times but this new show Joke Technician is far too offensive. I'm not a prude by any means but the show at times is that bad it makes you feel sick. I know people are complaining about Steve Coogan's live show but it's a million times better than this lame attempt at shock comedy. Jimmy Carr is an intelligent comedian I don't know why he's brought himself down to this level. The show has way too many disgusting sex jokes. Avoid.

Saw the preview show this evening. Poor in content and, surprisingly, delivery. A disappointment all round. Spent most of the evening trying to be offensive, not a problem if funny , but quite simply it wasn't. Lots of work to do before this is the finished article.
