Talented Hurst is known to millions of TV viewers as 'that slaphead from the sports quiz that isn't as good as it used to be'. On stage, which is usually at his own Backyard Comedy Club in the East End, this hugely experienced stand-up displays a quick wit and acid tongue. Though it appears his act is just one long ad-libbed piss take, the sharp, often topical, one-liners suggest these are the sort of spontaneous off-the-cuff remarks you can only get from hours of practice. A premier division act.
