The perfect show to reinvent the image...

comedy It’s the call-up almost every comedian wants: an invitation to take part in Taskmaster.

Now Greg Davies and Alex Horne have revealed who is top of their wish list: Prince William.

‘William’s right up there for me,’ Davies said in an interview to promote the 15th series, which starts next week.

And he’s even figure out why the Prince of Wales might want to say yes. ‘The royal family need to reinvent themselves if they are to survive, he argued. ‘And what better place to do it than on Taskmaster?’

Horne also suggested he’d like RuPaul to join one of the special episodes of the show, not based around stand-ups – but he confessed he’d ‘never seen’ Drag Race.

‘So you want RuPaul on based on… photos?’ Davies challenged him.

‘Yes,’ Horne replied. ‘I like the look.’

But Horne, who devised the Channel 4 show, also added: ‘ I don’t think we probably want to mention any other comedians specifically because we say the same names each time.

‘Although I did spend a week in Edinburgh last year, and it was exciting thinking there are plenty of people out there who would be great on it.’

Taskmaster series 15 starts on Channel 4 at 9pm on Thursday March 30.
