Miranda Hart tries out for Eurovision

...but only in the name of Comic Relief

comedyMiranda Hart is auditioning to represent Britain in the Eurovision song contest.

But only in the name of Comic Relief.

The comedian has filmed a sketch that will air on BBC One on Red Nose Night on Friday in which a panel comprising Graham Norton, Lulu and former Eurovision contestant Sam Ryder audition various celebrities.

Others taking part include Jamie Dornan, Bucks Fizz, Tony Hadley and Bono.

In reality, Mae Muller will be representing the UK in the competition, to be held in Liverpool in May.

Norton said of Comic Relief: ‘It’s a fantastic coming together, we all work in a very silly industry and it’s great that we can all come together and do something that really matters’
