First solo shows in five years, following a hit New York run

Zach Zucker is bringing his desperate, hack comedian alter-ego Jack Tucker back to London for his first solo shows in five years.

The new run of his Comedy Standup Hour at the Soho Theatre follows a six-week extended run at the off-Broadway SoHo Playhouse in New York, which comes to an end on April 13.

He was last in London in January hosting the run of the anarchic variety show Stamptown, but the new dates, July 15 to 20, mark his first solo run since 2019. Since then Zucker – Chortle’s Comedians’ Comedian of 2020 – has amassed more than 30 million video views across social media platforms.

The show is directed by Zucker’s long-time collaborator and fellow École Philippe Gaulier graduate Jonny Woolley, who also punctuates the chaotic performance with daft sound effects.

In other gig news today, Lucy Beaumont has announced a third leg of her stand-up show The Trouble and Strife. It now comprises 78 dates running until  December 13. Tickets go on general sale on Friday. Lucy Beaumont tour dates

And Robin Morgan, who has appeared on  Mock The Week and Radio 4’s The News Quiz, will be taking his new stand-up show The Spark on tour following its debut at the Edinburgh Fringe. Robin Morgan tour dates
