Nemr to play Southbank next year

Lebanese-American comic Nemr Abou Nassar is to play a rare UK date.

The stand-up, who has been credited with helping establish a comedy scene across the Middle East, will be performing at the Queen Elizabeth Hall in London’s Southbank Centre’s  on February 22 next year.

His new show, Love Isn’t The Answer, looks at the disparity between San Diego, where he grew up, and Lebanon, where he returned home to live with his family.

Known just as Nemr, ge last performed in London in 2016 with his show No Bombing In Beirut, which was also recorded as a special for America’s Showtime.

He previously had his own primetime TV show Stand Up Comedy Revolution on Lebanese Broadcasting Corporation International.
