Day to celebrate 20 years of Alan Partridge

Twenty years of Alan Partridge are to be marked in a day-long event in Manchester next month.

Simon Greenall, who played Michael the Geordie, and writer Neil Gibbons will take part in Q&A sessions at the celebration, inevitably titled Aha!

The event will feature a marathon of both series, with an exclusive video introduction from co-creator Armando Iannucci.

Organisers at the Pilot Light TV festival and Live Cinema TV also promise ‘Alan themed lovely stuff throughout the day’.

It all kicks off at Gorilla in Manchester at 12.30pm on August 20, with tickets costing £15.

The first episode of I’m Alan Partridge aired on BBC Two on November 3, 1997.
