Line-up announced for Fringe mental health gala

Donnell, Gadsby and more on the bill

The line-up has been announced for this year's Gala For Mental Health at the Edinburgh Fringe.

Performing at the third annual benefit, in Ace Dome on August 10, are Carl Donnelly, Hannah Gadsby, Seymour Mace, Angela Barnes and Robert White.

Andrew Eaton-Lewis, arts lead for organisers The Mental Health Foundation, said: 'Each show consists entirely of performers who talk about mental ill health from their own lived experience – in a way that is inclusive, disarming, unapologetic and very funny.

'Our gala shows are about solidarity and self-expression as much as raising money for a good cause. They have a unique atmosphere because of that

Mental health has been one of the big themes of the Fringe for three years now. It is something everyone should feel able to talk about openly without shame or fear of discrimination or other negative consequences.'

Tickets, priced £10, are on sale now.
