The Daily Show comes to Amazon devices

The Daily Show with Trevor Noah is coming to Amazon Alexa.

In what’s believed to be a first for a comedy show, owners of the voice-activated gizmos will be able to a access a ‘flash briefing’, featuring a daily snippet from the show.

The feature is available in the UK from today, and means fans can also ask the devices about when and where to watch the show, as well as the upcoming guest schedule.

Tom Frazer, from Comedy Central owner Viacom, said:  ‘We’re consistently exploring new ways to engage and entertain our audiences and, following a successful roll-out in the US, we’re excited to be working with Amazon’s innovative voice service in the UK.’

Fabrice Rousseau, from Amazon’s Alexa team, said: ‘Customers love being able to personalise their Alexa Flash Briefing content, and we want to offer the richest selection of news sources possible.’
