New daytime quiz for Richard Osman

House Of Games heads to BBC Two

Richard Osman is to host a new daily celebrity teatime quiz for BBC Two.

In House Of Games, the Pointless co-host will question the stars on their general knowledge in what’s described as a ‘unique collection of innovative, clever play-along trivia rounds’.

Each show finishes with a quickfire round deciding the daily winner, culminating with a weekly champion crowned on Friday.

Dan McGolpin, the BBC’s controller of programming and daytime, said: ‘Not only does Richard Osman know everything, he can also twist and re-shape that knowledge for fun. In the show, challengers will need to prove themselves worthy as he tests their mental prowess like it's never been tested before.’

Osman added: ‘The show is going to be great fun. Lots of great rounds, lots of competitive celebs, lots of surprises, and, most importantly, so much to play along with at home.’

Fifteen half-hour episodes have been commissioned from Remarkable Television, which also makes Pointless and Osman’s previous quiz show Two Tribes.
