John Finnemore's Souvenir Programme returns

One-off episode to be recorded for Radio 4 next month

John Finnemore is recording another one-off edition of his Radio 4 sketch show Souvenir Programme.

Nine series ran between 2011 and 2021, with two specials in May 2023 and 2024 and now he is getting the cast back together for another recording.

Margaret Cabourn-Smith, Simon Kane, Lawry Lewin and Carrie Quinlan, plus pianist Sue Pearse, will all be in the show, which is being recorded in London next month.

Producers say the show is now ‘ an exciting once-yearly event. Like Christmas! Or Easter. Or the deadline for filing tax returns. Or the anniversary of the Battle of Waterloo. But a lot more fun than at least some of those.’

Finnemore also wrote the Radio 4 sitcom Cabin Pressure and the second season of Good Omens.

The latest edition of Souvenir Programme is being recorded at  Bush Hall, Shepherd's Bush, West London, on July 14 and free tickets are available from Standing Room Only
