MEET DAVID SEDARIS: The wry American humourist returns for a ninth series of his witty and satirical writings - including extracts from his extensive diaries performed at The Tabernacle in Notting Hill, London, earlier this year. .BBC Radio 4, 6.30pm

THIS TIME WITH ALAN PARTRIDGE: New on Gold, the second series of the show that sees Steve Coogan’s creation back on national TV, fronting an early-evening magazine show with Jennie Gresham (Susannah Fielding). WE HAVE A GHOST: When a family move into a freaky house haunted by a ghost with a murky past it can only mean one thing… social media gold! Relative newcomer Jahi Di'Allo Winston plays Kevin, who befriends the spectral Ernest (David Harbour) while there are roles for comic Tig Notaro – as a government agent hunting down Ernest – and Jennifer Coolidge as a medium, too. It premieres on Netflix today.

THE LAST LEG: Aisling Bea and Libertines frontman Pete Doherty joins Adam Hills, Josh Widdicombe and Alex Brooker tonight. Channel 4, 10pm
