Rob Beckett and Josh Widdicombe to host panel show about TV

New format being piloted next week

Could Rob Beckett and Josh Widdicombe together become the next Noel Edmonds?

The comedians and podcasters are set to host a new panel show about TV called On Demand.

Talkback – the production company  behind Never Mind the Buzzcocks  – are shooting a pilot episode in London next Wednesday.  No broadcaster has yet been attached to the show.

It comes after Paul Sinha revived the Telly Addicts format initially fronted by Edmonds. Sihna’s TV Showdown, an official remake of the original, has so far run for two series on ITV in 2021 and 2022.

Talkback say On Demand ’is a celebration of TV and sees comics, actors and personalities compete across a series of intriguing rounds to see who knows the most about telly’.

The pilot is being taped at Riverside Studios in Hammersmith, and free tickets are available from Lost In TV.

Beckett and Widdicombe’s Parenting Hell is one of the UK top-rated podcasts, and embarks on a UK arena tour in 2023 with dates including The O2 in London and AO Arena, Manchester. Parenting Hell tour dates.
