Ria Lina makes Have I Got News For You debut

BBC One break for comedian – and doctor in virology.

Ria Lina is to make her debut on Have I Got News For You this Friday.

The stand-up will appear on Ian Hislop’s team, opposite Ross Noble and Paul Merton, while Stephen Mangan will be returning to host for a 12th time.

Lina has been in demand for topical shows since the Covid pandemic broke out – for as well as being an experienced comedian, she has a PhD in virology.

She made her second appearance on Radio 4’s News Quiz last week; and has also been on Mock The Week twice. She’s also been on The Now Show, BBC Radio Scotland’s Breaking The News and Comedy Central’s Yesterday, Today & The Day Before.
