Live action Bevis and Butt-head movie planned

'I've got some ideas,' says creator Mike Judge

They’re already doing it to The Little Mermaid – and now Beavis & Butt-Head could be the next animated characters to revived as a live-action movie.

Creator Mike Judge said the Paramount studio is ‘interested’ in his plans to return to his characters, whose series originally aired on MTV from 1993 to 1997.

‘I’ve got some ideas,’ Judge told the website Slashfilm. ‘I think it would have to be something that makes it relevant today. I think I might’ve figured out a way to do that.’

As animations, the duo previously starred in the feature-length film Beavis and Butt-Head Do America in 1996. And the series was brought back for 22 episode new episodes in 2011.

Judge, who also created King Of The Hill, has been considering a live-action adaptation of Beavis & Butt-Head for some time. Back in 2008, he revealed that Johnny Depp had expressed interest in playing Beavis in a story where the pair are now ’60-year-old winos.’
