Mo Gilligan extends West End run

As the C4 show he co-hosts with Big Narstie gets an air date

Mo Gilligan has extended his West End run this autumn for an extra week.

His Coupla Cans tour will now be at the Vaudeville Theatre from November 5 to 10 as well as the previously announced  October 22 to 27.

When tickets first went on sale last month, the comic sold more than 2,000 tickets in the first hour – enough to sell the 700-capacity venue out three times over.

Meanwhile, Channel 4 has confirmed the date of The Big Narstie Show, the new later-night entertainment show which the comic will co-host with the grime MC. It will air for six weeks from June 29.

Gilligan is also currently filming his own big comedy entertainment pilot Mo’s Town for the channel.

His success has largely come from his online sketches going viral, even attracting the attention of Drake, who quoted his ‘coupla cans’ catchphrase. But he has also appeared on The Russell Howard Hour, The Chris Ramsay Show, Live From The Comedy Store and Rob Delaney’s Stand Up Central on TV.

Tickets for the new Vaudeville shows go on sale at 10am on Saturday.
