Episodes finally returns to BBC Two

Only two-and-a-half years after the last season

The BBC is to air the final series of Episodes next month – two and half years after the last series.

Starring Matt LeBlanc, Stephen Mangan and Tamsin Greig, the fifth season was broadcast on Showtime in the US late last summer and has just been screened in Australia.

Now the last seven episodes – which were shot in the UK – will finally make to British screens, with the series starting on BBC Two on March 30.

The show is about British comedy writers Sean and Beverly, who were lured to Hollywood to adapt their erudite British boarding-school comedy for the American market – only to have it bowdlerised into a crass high school sitcom called Pucks!, Matt LeBlanc.

By the end of series four, Sean and Beverly moved on to pursue another project, The Opposite Of Us, while Matt’s financial woes forced him to take a job hosting a network gameshow, The Box.

At the start of the final season, several months have passed. The Box is now a runaway hit, meaning Matt is now only thought of as a gameshow host, not an actor. Meanwhile, Sean and Beverly’s pet project has been put in the hands of Sean’s loathsome former writing partner, the humourless, untalented Tim, who is destroying their show.
