Who made it to the BBC New Comedy Award semis?

Line-up revealed

Australian comic Heidi Regan has won the sixth heat of the BBC New Comedy Award.

Her victory comes a year after she scooped the So You Think You're Funny? title at last year’s Edinburgh Fringe.

She progresses to the semi-finals alongside the other five heat winners and six ‘wildcards’, chosen from the two runners-up at each heat.

They can also be revealed today as: Jacob Hawley, Pav Rao, Sikisa Bostwick-Barnes, Yumna Mohamed, Jamie MacDonald and Louis Burgess.

The Cardiff semi-final which Began won was recorded at the Glee Club last month, and broadcast on Radio 4 Extra last night. Other hear winners were Morgan Rees, Ophélie Hocquard,  Huge DaviesAndy Field and Aaron Simmonds.

The semis which take place at the Edinburgh Fringe today and tomorrow, and will air on Radio 4 Extra on Tuesday and Wednesday.

And the final will be on August 13, hosted by Mark Watson and airing live on Radio 4.
