INSIDE No. 9 will return to BBC Two on Tuesday February 21 at 10pm, the corporation has announced. The first episode is entitled The Bill and revolves around a group of friends – played by Philip Glenister, Jason Watkins, Reece Shearsmith and Steve Pemberton – arguing over a restaurant bill presented by a waitress, played by Ellie White, left.

FLEABAG creator Phoebe Waller-Bridge is being considered for a role in the new Star Wars Han Solo spin-off. Hollywood bible Variety says the actor’s role in the movie – due out next year – would be driven by CGI.

MEANWHILE, the duo behind the Scary Movie franchise are to parody Star Wars next. Writers and directors Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer hope to start shooting Star Worlds Episode XXXIVE=MC2: The Force Awakens The Last Jedi Who Went Rogue in the autumn. 

FILMING has started on Ronny Chieng’s sitcom International Student. The six-part series is based on the comedian's teenage life as as a Malaysian student in Australia, and is being made for ABC down under and Comedy Central in the US. Chieng said: ‘I’m very excited about getting the chance to relive my misspent youth at University and righting all my wrongs. Like in Quantum Leap or Atonement. But with Asians.’ The series will hit screens in mid-2017.

JOHN SHUTTLEWORTH has added an extra date, March 27, to his tour run at London’s Leicester Square Theatre, after selling out three nights this month.
