Comedy Central sets air date for Chris Ramsey Show
Comedy Central has announced a launch date for The Chris Ramsey Show: Wednesday January 11.
It has also confirmed that guests on the series, who will take part in a number of challenges will include Jimmy Carr, Joel Dommett, Joey Essex, Tom Rosenthal and Sara Pascoe.
Taking its cue from Dara O Briain’s Go 8-Bit, the guests will also play classic computer games, while Ramsey tries to distract them with wrestlers, electrocution bracelets and a paddle-whipping dominatrix.
The show also includes a segment in which reality stars Jamie Laing, Vicky Pattison and Ferne McCann try to pull of challenges on the train from London to Newcastle, such as setting up a speed-dates with commuters, playing 5-a-side football in the aisles and cooking a slap-up dinner.
That format follows Ramsey’s 2014 stunt, done for his own amusement, when he got pizza delivered to the same train via Twitter.
The Chris Ramsey Show is written by the comedian and executive produced by Richard Allen-Turner and Jon Thoday for Avalon Television and Emma Clarke and Louise Holmes for Comedy Central UK.
Ramsey will also be hosting the next series of E4 panel show Virtually Famous, starting later this month, and will be on tour from January (Dates).
