Dom Joly takes down another troll

Twitter user reported to police

Dom Joly has reported a Twitter troll to police after he made comments wishing his children dead.

The Trigger Happy star also reported the man to his employers in Skegness after researching his social media profiles.

He said: 'Problem is - when you bring up my kids dying...the police get involved- they now are.'

And he told his tormentor: 'I'm going to leave you to your sad life now - but expect a knock on the door. Just sent screen grabs to police and your place of work - have a nice day!'

Since being named and shamed by the comedian, the troll shut down his Twitter and Facebook accounts.

It is not the first time the 49-year-old star has taken on the trolls, reporting another to police in a similar incident four years ago.

He has suggested he would like to make a TV show unmasking such commentators, saying: 'It is a very interesting phenomenon, the way people act very differently behind a computer screen. This show would confront them – we would knock on their doors.'
