Peter Kay revives Dance For Life

PK the DJ is back

Peter Kay is reviving his Dance For Life fundraisers next year.

The comic will DJ the three-hour danceathons over six nights in British arenas in the spring.

Profits from the events – which follow a similar run earlier this year – will go to Cancer Research UK.

Kay said: 'I've honestly never had so much fun as I had working on Dance For Life earlier this year. The atmosphere was so happy and positive; it really is a great way to raise money for the worthiest of causes. All people have to do is turn up and dance. I just want it to grow and do it every year because it's a really happy way of raising money.'

His Car Share co-star Sian Gibson will also be joining him at the events.

Claire Rowney of Cancer Research UK added: 'We are so grateful to Peter for hosting his epic Dance For Life events. The money raised from the events will fund vital research.'

Tickets are priced £28.50 each and go on sale at 9am on Saturday, and participants are told that fancy dress is optional.

Kay also urged those attending to set up their own JustGiving page to get sponsorship.

Yesterday it was revealed that Kay would be the subject of yet another TV tribute next weekend.

The Dance For Life dates are:

Friday March 3: Ericsson Indoor Arena, Coventry
Saturday March 4: Ericsson Indoor Arena, Coventry
Saturday March 25: Glasgow The SSE Hydro
Saturday April 8: Sheffield Arena
Saturday May 6: Leeds First Direct Arena
Saturday May 13: Nottingham Motorpoint Arena
