Dara O Briain is to return with a second series of Robot Wars, BBC Two has announced. He will again be joined by co-host Angela Scanlon for the new six part series, which is now inviting robot-makers to apply via robotwars@mentorn.tv.

A LAWYER for Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has filed a fresh complaint about the German decision to drop the criminal case against comedian Jan Boehmermann, who offended the autocrat by reading on TV a satirical poem that includes lines about the controversial leader having sex with goats.

THE Mrs Brown’s Boys tour has added more arena dates at Glasgow on March 29 and April 2, Birmingham on April 9 and Cardiff on June 14 and 18 next year.

PATRICK MONAHAN is doing panto this year. The stand-up will be playing Captain Hook in the Adventures Of Peter Pan at the Worthing Theatre from December 2 as part of a cast that also includes Richard 'Dick' McCourt, half of kids' presenting duo Dick & Dom, as Smee and X Factor’s Lloyd Daniels as Peter Pan.

FRANK SKINNER has announced 11 more dates of The Man With No Show, which he performs without a script and just ‘hopes for the best’. It returns to London’s Soho Theatre from January 3 to 14 (not 8).
