Mel B is not amused...

Tape Face put judge Mel B's head through a toilet set in the final of America'sGot Talent last night.

The former Spice Girl did look impressed as she was asked to twirl tinsel pom-poms with the seat over her head – and especially not when the Kiwi mime put a cloth over her head so she could not see what was going on.

After the stunt she threw the seat to the ground and ran back to the judges' desk, a scowl on her face..

However the sketch, performed to The William Tell Overture, was a hit in the room, getting a standing ovation from the rest of the panel.

'What in the bloody hell was that?' said Simon Cowell, who joked: 'That was probably one of Mel's best performances, in her entire career'.

Howie Mandel added: 'You put Mel B in the toilet and you know what, I love it. It's so stupid, it's wonderful.'

But Mel B harrumphed: 'I don't know what you needed me for. I don't know what happened up there.'

But she added: 'I think you did and deliver something hilarious.'

Before Tape Face's performance, Cowell told him: 'I wasn't expecting you to be the number one pick. But I am thrilled that you are in the final. You are nuts and I'm looking forward to seeing what you do next.'

British-based Tape Face – real name Sam Wills – must now wait until tonight's results show to see how he has fared in the public vote. The winner takes $1million and headlines a Vegas show.

After the final was aired on NBC, to more than 12million viewers, Tape Face tweeted: 'Stay Weird, nothing else matters.'
