One Foot In The Grave actor 'stable' in hospital

One Foot in the Grave star Richard Wilson has suffered a heart attack.

The 80-year-old had been due to reprise his most famous role as Victor Meldrew at the Edinburgh Fringe next week.

But the 12-night run has been pulled after he was rushed to hospital on Wednesday afternoon, where he remains.

Wilson’s agent, John Grant, said the actor is now in a stable condition.

Greenock-born Wilson starred as  Meldrew in the hit BBC One sitcom between 1990 and 2000, and his long list of credits also includes Some Mothers Do ‘Ave ‘Em, Doctor Who and Mr Bean.
