Alan Partridge releases his first vinyl record

Alan Partridge is to release his first vinyl record.

Two full length episodes of the Radio 4 incarnation of Knowing Me Knowing You are to be included on a picture disc put out by by Demon Records to mark Record Store Day on April 16.

Side A of the record features a show first broadcast on December 8, 1992, where Alan's guests were Simon Fisher, a nine-year-old prodigy, Janey Katz, a hypnotherapist and Nick Ford, a bad-boy lawyer.

alan partridge LPThe B-side is the episode first transmitted on January 5, 1993 where Alan's guests were Tony Hayers, Commissioning Director of BBC Television, Trudy Sky and Yvonne Boyd: presenter of The Show on Def Two and fashion designer respectively, and Lord Morgan of Glossop, the 84-year-old peer.

As well as Steve Coogan, the episodes also feature Armando Iannucci, Doon MacKichan, Rebecca Front and David Schneider.

More than 200 independent shops take part in Record Store Day to celebrate their spirit, through special vinyl releases such as this and in-store performances.
