Romesh to face Nigel Farage on Question Time

ROMESH RANGANATHAN is set to clash with Nigel Farage on Question time tomorrow night. The BBC has confirmed that the anti-immigration Ukip leader will join the comedian on the panel in Llanelli, along with Wales's First Minister Carwyn Jones, Secretary of State for Walse Stephen Crabb, and Plaid Cymru leader Leanne Wood.

CATASTROPHE has scooped another award, after being named  best comedy at the industry Broadcast Awards tonight. Peter Kay's Car Share was named best original programme and Have I Got News For You was acknowledged with a special recognition prize.

SAUKDIYAH MA'RUF, a female Muslim stand-up comedian from Indonesia, has been nominated for the Index on Censorship's Freedom of Expression Awards. The organisation – which has shortlisted 20 people across four categories - say she earned her acknowledgement for the way she challenges Islamic fundamentalism and advocates for women's rights.Winners are announced in London on April 13.

FRANKIE BOYLE's Netflix special will be available from April 1, the comic revealed on Twitter today.  He recorded his Hurt Like You've Never Been Loved tour at Glasgow's Citizens Theatre in September, becoming the second British comic after Jimmy Carr to release a special via the streaming service, rather than as a DVD.

JIM GAFFIGAN is the new face of Kentucky Fried Chicken. The comedian portrayed the iconic Colonel Sanders in the chain's new commercial, which debuted during the Super Bowl on Sunday night.
