Charlier Brooker's Wipe to return
Charlie Brooker is to make his usual scathing review of the year for BBC Two, it has been confirmed.
The broadcaster has commissioned 2015 Wipe from House of Tomorrow, the production company Brooker set up with executive producer Annabel Jones.
Doug Stanhope, Morgana Robinson and Diane Morgan as Philomena Cunk will all be returning for the one-off, which will air in December.
Producers say: ‘Brooker [will] once again take aim at the news, TV, trends and events of the past 12 months – all in the time constraints of one hour. On the dawn of 2016, Charlie will look back on a year which saw the beginning of Corbyn-mania and a Tory majority and the end of Page Three and Cecil the Lion.’
Wipe is produced by Ali Marlow, and the BBC commissioning editor is Chris Sussman.
