Sketch, stand-up and hidden camera shows

ITV2 is piloting four comedy series featuring black and Asian talent.

Two of the ideas are hidden camera shows, one with the working title Sniggaz, the other All About The Bants.

The first promises to ‘poke fun at racial stereotypes’; while the second will be fronted by Tinchy Stryder and Vine star Arron Crascall.

Another pilot, Comedy Basement, will showcase black British stand-ups including Kojo, pictured, and Eddie Kadi.

And the final project is The Ty And Ky Show, a sketch show starring cousins Tyrone-Lee Davis and Kieran Shekoni.

The half-hour programmes will all air around ITV2's coverage of the Mobo music awards, held in Glasgow on October 6.

ITV director of acquisitions Angela Jain told trade magazine Broadcast: ‘These shows are the perfect opportunity in the run-up to the Mobos to bring some funny stuff to the telly from some people new to telly’
