Rhys Darby has landed a role on the upcoming X-Files miniseries. He will join David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson for one of the six episodes currently being shot in Vancouver and due to air from January – although details of his role are being kept under wraps.

FORMER Coronation Street star Craig Gazey is trying his hand at stand-up. The actor, who played Graeme Proctor in the soap for more than three years, will be performing his first gig at London club Monkey Business later this month. Gazey, who is currently appearing in Celebrity Masterchef, will be on the bill at L'Ulivo restaurant, just off Leicester Square, on July 24.

Bill Cosby admitted under oath that he gave a woman sedatives before having sex with her. The revelations come in 2005 court papers which have just been revealed by the Associated Press after a legal fight from the comedian's lawyers. Cosby settle the earlier case out of court for an undisclosed sum, and has never faced any criminal charges about subsequent claims of abuse, which he denies.

AMERICAN literary humorist David Sedaris has announced two London shows next year, playing the Cadogan Hall in Chelsea on February 21 and 22.

Bob Slayer's BlundaBus – a decommissioned London double decker that will be a venue at the Edinburgh Fringe – is to park up in Croydon for two-and-a-half weeks before driving to the festival, where it will host a series of preview gigs. Details
