Another one-off for BBC Two

Goodness Gracious Me is to return for another one-off special.

Sanjeev Bhaskar, Kulvinder Ghir, Meera Syal and Nina Wadia and Dave Lamb – now best known for being the Come Dine With Me voiceover – will all reunite for the new show, to be recorded next month.

Bhaskhar confirmed the news on Twitter, posting: 'Scripts being written, filming March, broadcast later this year.'

The new episode follows the success of their reunion show last year to mark 50 years of BBC Two. As before, this new episode, again for BBC Two, promises a mix of new characters and old favourites.

The show originally aired on TV from 1998 to 2001, after starting life on Radio 4 two years earlier.
