A tight 5: November 15

WILL ARNETT's sitcom The Millers has been axed just four shows into its second season due to poor ratings. The last episode of the show attracted around 6.5million viewers to CBS – just half the ratings of the very first episode last year. Comedy Central has aired the sitcom in the UK.

STEVE COOGAN is to make an appearance as himself in The Lost Honour Of Christopher Jeffries – the ITV drama about how the press treated the innocent Bristol teacher arrested for the murder of Joanna Yates. Coogan appears in a fictionalised scene when he chats to the Jeffries character as they wait to give evidence to the Leveson Inquiry about media conduct. Although, as Private Eye points out this week, no such meeting took place.

STILL GAME stars Ford Kiernan and Greg Hemphill will be signing copies of their DVD Still Game Live In Glasgow at the HMV store in Glasgow's Argyle Street from 2pm on Sunday November 23, the day before release. Fans who pre-order their DVD at the store will receive a wristband for entry to the event.

THE EDINBURGH FRINGE has announced its key dates for 2015: Shows must register by March 11 for a discount rate or April 8 to get into the printed programme. The brochure is launched on June 4 and the festival itself runs from August 7 to 31.

COMEDY fans are being sought to join the awards panel for Dave’s Leicester Comedy Festival, getting free tickets to the shows, The festival runs from 4-22 February and applicants, who must be aged over 18, must be able to be in Leicester for one week during the festival period.
