Iran's Modern Family isn't so modern

Guess which characters have been changed...

Modern Family has been remade in Iran – but, unsurprisingly, without gay dads Mitch and Cam.

The characters have been replaced by a straight couple in the local version that is otherwise an unauthorised copy of the ABC original.

Some other character have been switched in certain scenes, too, to avoid showing men and women in the same room before marriage.

Haft Sang means ‘Seven Stones’, a traditional ball game. It is broadcast on the state-run Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting.
