Charlie's Wipe to return to BBC Two

Charlie Brooker is to return to BBC Two with a new series of his Wipe shows.

The broadcaster has ordered an hour-long Christmas special looking back at the events of the year and a six-part Weekly Wipe series for early in 2014.

Brian Limond of Limmy’s Show fame and comic and radio presenter Jake Yapp have been signed up as contributors – joining a returning Doug Stanhope and the talking head characters Philomena Cunk and Barry Shitpeas.

Both the series and the special are executive produced by Annabel Jones and Nick Vaughan-Smith, and Chris Sussman is the BBC commissioning editor.
