Keith Lemon to make movie sequel

Despite the slating the original received

It was one of the most critically slated movies of last year – but now there’s to be a sequel to Keith Lemon: The Film.

Leigh Francis's comedy alter ego has revealed that he is working on a script for the follow-up, which will be shot next year – but it’s still in its early days.

He told Digital Spy: ‘Next year I'll be doing another film, but I'm not allowed to talk about that so I won't.’

Lemon confirmed it was a sequel but added: ‘But it'll be a different direction. I know what I'm doing, but I've only written four pages.’

One of the many critical slatings the original received said: ‘The script that must have taken longer to read than it did to write.’

Despite a rare 0% rating the review aggregate website Rotten Tomatoes, the film – which featured appearances from the likes of Kelly Brook, David Hasselhoff, and Verne Troyer –  took £4million at the box office.
