More Edinburgh names announced

Hills, Jupitus, Brigstocke...

Adam Hills, Marcus Brigstocke and Phill Jupitus are all to return to the Edinburgh Fringe this year, it has been announced.

Off The Kerb, one of Britain’s biggest comedy agencies has announced its festival line-up, which also includes shows from Seann Walsh, Rich Hall and Josh Widdicombe

Its full roster is:

  • Adam Hills: Happyism (Assembly Hall, Main Hall)Marcus Brigstocke: Je M'accuse, I Am Marcus (Assembly Hall, Rainy Hall) in which the polemist shuns politics to talk about his own life, which includes being a podium dancer, oil rig worker, food addict, musical theatre enthusiast, posh, eco-hypocrite, ex-Goth, muppet fan, and chief beverages operator at the Little Chef.

  • Rich Hall: With his own show and his late-night comedy and music offering, Rich Hall’s Hoedown (Both in an Assembly George Square Spiegeltent)

  • Simon Evans: Leashed (The Stand, One). Previously announced as part of the The Stand’s line-up last week.

  • Seann Walsh: The Lie-in King! (Pleasance, Cabaret Bar)

  • Charlie Baker: Baker’s Dozen: (Assembly, George Square Three) based around the 13 biggest-selling UK singles from the last 13 years.

  • Ivo Graham: Binoculars (Pleasance Cellar). A debut show

  • John Gordillo: Thinking is Discouraged (Assembly Rooms, Studio).

  • Phill Jupitus as Porky the Poet in Zeitgeist Limbo (The Jam House, part of the Free Fringe).

    Almost all their acts, and others, are also taking part in the annual gala in aid of Waverley Care, which this year takes place at the Edinburgh Playhouse on August 22. Adam Hills and Kevin Bridges co-host.

    Separately, French-Algerian comic Yacine Belhousse will be making his Edinburgh Fringe debut this year. He will be presented by Eddie Izzard, who last year gave a similar boost to South African Trevor Noah and German Michael Mittermeier.
