Steve Coogan to write US pilot

A first for the Alan Partridge star

Steve Coogan is to write his first sitcom pilot for the States.

He is collaborating with Men Behaving Badly creator Simon Nye on the script, which was commissioned by the CBS network.

Hollywood trade paper Variety reports that the show ill revolve around three dads with children from the same mother.

It is not yet known if Coogan would star in the show, should it be made as a pilot or a full series.

Former King Of The Hill and Everybody Hates Chris executive producer Michael Rotenberg will fulfil the same role on this show.
