Inbetweeners motor up for auction

The beaten-up Fiat Cinquecento from The Inbetweeners is being sold off for charity.

Bidding on the vehicle, dubbed ‘the gayest car ever’ in the Channel 4 sitcom, has already reached £5,100 on eBay. The figure – about 15 times what a similar second-hand model will cost – will be going to Comic Relief.

The 16-year-old 900cc yellow car – with red passenger door after the original was ripped off in the series – has racked-up 76,235 miles, and the MoT runs out next month. It has three previous owners before being used by Inbetweeners teenager Simon, played by Joe Thomas.

The eBay listing says: ‘This is the genuine article! You'll impress your friends with this unique motor.’

Meanwhile, photographer Richard Cannon is auctioning off a white Ozwald Boateng suit, signed by a raft of comedians, for the charity.

The designer donated the suit for a project in which Cannon photographs comics wearing it, before signing the inside of the jacket.

So far 25 comics have taken part, including Stephen Merchant, Hugh Dennis, Al Murray, Frank Skinner, David Baddiel, Dick and Dom, Stephen K Amos and Greg Davies; with Rowan Atkinson, Catherine Tate, Mickey Flanagan and Marc Wooton lined up to take part soon.

Bidding on the suit currently stands at £255. Click here to make a better offer
