Horne makes West End debut

...in revival of Entertaining Mr Sloane

Gavin and Stacey star Mathew Horne is to make his West End acting debut in a revival of Joe Orton's black comedy Entertaining Mr Sloane.

Horne plays the eponymous Mr Sloane, a charming but psychopathic young man who charms his way into a staid middle-class home.

Imelda Staunton also stars as the ‘emotionally desperate’ Kath in the production, which begins at the Trafalgar Studios on January 22, with opening night on the 30th.

The black comedy was Joe Orton's breakthrough play, causing controversy when it was first performed in 1964.

Kathy Burke, who is co-writing Horne and James Corden’s new BBC sketch show, is acting as ‘creative associate’ on the play.
