Mockumentary from Trainspotting's Welsh

ITV4 is set to order its first original comedy programme – a one-off mockumentary from Trainspotting writer Irvine Welsh.

Good Arrows is about a darts player who loses his nerve after suffering a heart attack and tries various remedies, including inhaling the gas from fermented human faeces.

Jonathan Owen will play the lead, Andy ‘The Arrows’ Sampson opposite Ella Smith as his wife Big Sheila, trade magazine Broadcast reports.

The 90-minute show will be made by Welsh’s independent production company, Jawbone, and is expected to air later this year. But ITV has not yet confirmed the commission.
