Noel's off The Wall

New hosts for live BBC3 comedy show

Alexa Chung and Rhys Thomas have been named as hosts of BBC Three’s new weekly comedy show, The Wall.

The programme, which intends to have close links with a website inviting viewers to submit their own sketches, was originally due to be hosted by Noel Fielding.

However, he has dropped out to be replaced by former model turned Popworld presenter Chung and Thomas, whose credits include Nathan Barley, The Fast Show and Radio 4’s Down The Line.

The programme will feature a regular ensemble including Tittybangbang’s Lucy Montgomery, sketch trio We Are Klang and character comic Simon Brodkin.

Each week celebrity guests join the regular cast for a mix of sketches, interviews and music performed live in front of a studio audience.

The show, which starts next month, is being made by Zeppotron, a subsidiary of Big Brother producers Endemol.

Its website has already gone live at bbc.co.uk/thewall/
