Seinfeld denies comeback plans

'There's nothing to the rumours...’

Rumours that Jerry Seinfeld is planning a return to TV have been quashed.

Spokeswomen for both the comic and the NBC network have poured cold water on a New York Post report that he would be making a prime-time return in June.

The paper’s Page Six column had reported that he was working on a New York-based comedy similar to Curb Your Enthusiasm – created by his Seinfeld co-writer Larry David – in which he would play an exaggerated version of himself.

The NBC spokeswoman said: ‘There's nothing to it.’

And Seinfeld's spokeswoman also said the story was false, adding: ‘We appreciate the enthusiasm, however.’
