Ricky Gervais, Ed Byrne and Trevor and Simon are among the stars taking part in this year's Ealing comedy festival, it has been announced.

The full line-up for the five-night event also includes the Sketch Show's Lee Mack, Perrier nominee Daniel Kitson and comic poet John Hegley.

Gigs are staged in a marquee in Walpole Park, in the west London borough, from July 27 to August 2, and are backed by the local council and the Ha Bloody Ha comedy clubs.

Tickets cost £12, although organisers are also promoting a £49-a-head deal that also includes free bar and barbecue in a private tent.
