Five copies of TV: Big Adventures On The Small Screen up for grabs

Peter Kay’s new book TV: Big Adventures On The Small Screen is being published this week – and we have five copies to give away to Chortle readers.

In it, the comedian mixes his TV memories of the likes of  Blockbusters, Baywatch, Mastermind and Parkinson with stories of his own successes on the small screen.

Publishers HarperCollins say: ‘Join Peter as he finds success on the small screen, leaving his own unique footprint in the golden age of TV: from making tea at Granada Studios and marching along to ‘(Is This the Way to) Amarillo’ to hanging out in the Rovers Return, having run-ins with Bernard Manning and starring in possibly the worst Doctor Who episode of all time.

‘You’ll go behind the scenes of the legendary Phoenix Nights, take The Road to Nowhere with Max & Paddy and discover how Peter created his Bafta-winning performance in Car Share.’

Kay’s first book – The Sound of Laughter – is still the biggest-selling hardback autobiography of all time, selling well over a million copies across all print editions since publication in 2007. He followed it up with another memoir, Saturday Night Peter, two years later and the tour tie-in The Book That's More Than Just a Book in 2011.

His current tour has dates running to the end of 2025 and includes 19 nights at London's O2 arena.

To stand a chance of winning one of our copies of TV: Big Adventures On The Small Screen , just answer the following question by 5pm on October 4, when we will select the winners at random from all the correct answers received. Usual terms and conditions apply.
