Jackie Mason
Date Of Birth: 09/06/1931
|
Jackie Mason was raised on the Lower East Side of Manhattan, surrounded by rabbis. His three brothers are rabbis. His father was a rabbi, and so were his grandfather, his great-grandfather and his great-great grandfather, and he was all set to follow in their footsteps, being ordained at the age of 25. Three years later, he quit his synagogue to become a comedian because, as he says, "Someone in the family had to make a living."

I don't know how anyone could find this far-right racist funny. Andy, June 2007 |
|
Funniest living comic. I was born in Brooklyn and feel he tells like it is, and its all true stuff, I wish I could afford to see him in person but cant afford his prices these days. Jessie, November 2004 |

Jackie Mason is my all time favorite comedienne, and considering my age, that is quite a tribute to Jackie, or testimony to a poor memory. Not only do I like his material, and I'm not even Jewish, but, even more I like his delivery. If he were running for U.S. President I would vote for him. Who better could cast the tradgedy of human life in a humourous light, making us all laugh. Erin, October 2004 |

From the early years I have been a huge fan. His insightful perspectives combined with warm delivery make for a wonderful combination. I had the pleasure of bumping into Jackie on the streets of NYC years ago, and risked my life crossing Park Ave to get his autograph for my mother. It was worth the risk. Thank you Jackie. Neal Cutler, May 2004 |

Absolutely brilliant. Could watch him for hours. Devon, December 2003 |

Jackie Mason is a great comedian, I am always in pain when I listen to him, from laughing too hard. I'm an Arab so a lot of what he says about the Jewish community can easily be applied to the Arab. I was however sad that he chose not to do a gig with a Palestinian comedian, this would have been a great opportunity at promoting harmony and bridging the gap between the two communities. I still think he's funny, but I also think he's anti-Arab and nobody loves a racist. Tajir, December 2003 |

Great delivery but dull material. Ted, April 2003 |

Jackie Mason is as funny as a burning infant. Ray, November 2002 |
