Perth-born Joe Heenan performed his first gig in Edinburgh in 1995, and is now a regular compere at the Stand comedy clubs in Glasgow and Edinburgh. He has also written for Chewing the Fat, The Live Floor Show and The Karen Dunbar Show as well as appearing in TV ads for the Scottish Sun newspaper and the Bank of Scotland.
I don't understand why this guy gets such bad reviews on here, saw him at the weekend in Glasgow and he blew the roof off the place, I've never laughed so hard. Keep going Joe, you're awesome
Oneof the worse comics I have ever seen!
Saw this guy at the best of Scottish comedy during the fringe. If he's the best then I'd hate to see the worst
Me and my mate thought he was funny. reminded me a bit of Lloyd Langford on drugs. Yes, he's a bit of a lads comic but hey ho.
Is he being ironic with his hack, done to death material, no he's not, oh and his Christorher Walken impression that he thinks is so good, sounds nothing like the man. poor, poor, poor
Saw him at the Highlight in Edinburgh 27/08/2011. Material was pretty poor, bog standard hack jokes on wanking. I agree with the above comment that he is a bit of a bully; this seems to stem from not being especially funny. It was very telling that the other acts looked very unimpressed whilst he was on.
This guy mc'd the comedy night at my uni the other night. His material was ok but he was great at getting the audience on his side and making everyone feel comfortable and got them riled up for the acts. The first act was utter pish, but Joe managed to raise the mood again when he came back out. Even though his material wasn't all that strong (probably just because we students are a crap crowd lol) he was still very enjoyable. My only complaint is that he can't utter a sentence without adding "fucking" every two syllables when it doesn't add anything to the joke or the punchline.
Saw him at The Stand. a bit of a bully when MC-ing and harsh on audiences.
