Bratchy made his first stand up appearance at The Stand comedy club in Glasgow in 2001, and three years later joined forces with his dad, Mark, and his brother, who performs as The Wee Man, to ccreate the Bratchpiece Family Show, who have performed at the Glasgow comedy festival and the Edinburgh Fringe.

A finalist in the 2007 Scottish Comedian Of The Year competition, he says his most notable gigs include compering strip shows and performing to a largely septugenarian audience as part of a Rabbie Burns festival in Ayr.

The Bratchpieces are their own biigest fans and their chicken-in-a-basket-would-be-better observations and attempts at surrealism cannot the bemused intolerance this smug clan generate.
