One of the most memorable and entertaining acts I've seen with his slow, considered and creepy delivery. His material is often quite dark and weird, but extremely well written with every word essential to the joke. I've since seen him compere where he kept it chattier and he proved to be a very quick and natural ad-libber as well. But still weird. John Hall, September 2010 |
|
Cardiff Glee - worst compere I've seen. I'm usually a fan of deadpan but this approach is bordering on boring rather than deadpan. No real connection with the audience. Will E Robo brought the house down and showed how to connect wth an audience. David, August 2010 |

Anthony is a brilliant antidote to the chatty, amiable comics, and absolutely oozes superiority and style. As the review states, his one liners will always hit home, and the audience will talk about him long after the gig. Sam, October 2007 |

I first came across Anthony doing his deadpan stand up routine which is both unique and brilliantly funny. Have been to Rotherham a fair few times and go back because of his compering, which me and my mates really enjoy. For me he works the room very well and mixes up clever gags and ad-libbed banter with skill. I've been there when another comic was compering and they struggled in comparison. Mick, September 2006 |

He now comperes in Rotherham but I do not know why. Simply put, this man is not a compere. He fails to make a connection with the audience, chiefly because his banter is personal and hurtful rather than playful. When he is performing his own material the laughs are much more frequent and the relief around the club is apparent. Antony! steer clear of the ad-lib. John Hague, August 2006 |
|
Hypnotic and hilarious. Saw him at Scarborough's Other Side and he had the audience hanging on his every word and then creaming themselves at his punchlines. One of the best support acts I've seen. Superb. Dave McCue, June 2006 |
|
I've seen Anthony numerous times and on every occasion he has had the audience in the palm of his hand and has got big laughs from start to finish of his unique set. Brilliant. Warren 06.05.11 Warren, May 1911 |

A class act with impeccable timing. James Dowdeswell 05.11.04 James Dowdeswell |
