Saturday Night Live UK last night took on the unconscious racial bias apparently shown by players of The Traitors.
In the skit, contestants sat around a round table trying to root out a ‘great big crab man’ as overseen by Celeste Dring’s Claudia Winkleman.
And they ignored George Fouracres in a crab costume to focus suspicions on guest host Riz Ahmed’s character Imran.
It comes after comic Athena Kugblenu called out unconscious bias on reality TV in an article in The Guardian in which she wrote: ‘We’re not very "woke" if we’re still surprised when Black people are kicked out of reality TV shows first.’
Just who is the great big crab man?
